Jo Bo-ah Gushes Over Co-Star Kim Jae-wook: “If ‘Sexy’ Were a Person, It’d Be Him”

Actress Jo Bo-ah is winning hearts again—not just with her return to the screen, but also with her candid praise for co-star Kim Jae-wook. On May 7, Jo Bo-ah appeared on the popular YouTube talk show “Narae’s Table” hosted by comedian Park Na-rae, to promote her upcoming Netflix series Dear Hongrang, premiering May 16.
While discussing her co-stars Lee Jae-wook and Jung Ga-ram, Jo Bo-ah charmed viewers with her vivid descriptions. “(Jung) Ga-ram has eyes made for romance—bright and gentle, like a deer’s,” she said. “(Lee) Jae-wook gives off that tsundere vibe, like a Jindo dog, while Ga-ram feels more like a gentle lamb.”

But it was her glowing admiration for Kim Jae-wook that truly captured attention. Recalling his expanded role in the series, she shared, “The director originally persuaded Kim Jae-wook oppa to make just a cameo. But what do you know—he kept showing up and filming more scenes. We ended up asking him to shoot again and again. I’m so grateful.”
When Park Na-rae asked what makes Kim Jae-wook so captivating, Jo didn’t hold back: “Isn’t he incredibly attractive? If the word ‘sexy’ were a person, it would be Jae-wook oppa. I admire not just his appearance but his inner character too—he’s truly amazing.”

Jo Bo-ah also briefly reflected on her past work with Lee Dong-wook in Tale of the Nine Tailed, noting, “When you first meet him, it’s easy to misunderstand. You might think, ‘Why is he so cold? Is he mad at me?’ But you need to know him for at least a year to really see his true nature.”

With Dear Hongrang marking her long-awaited comeback after the postponement of _Knock-Off_—a Disney+ project delayed due to the controversy involving actor Kim Soo-hyun—Jo Bo-ah seems more ready than ever to reclaim her place on the screen. Her affectionate anecdotes and glowing compliments for her co-stars are adding fuel to fan excitement for the series’ premiere.
